Alison Holt is influenced by the places she visits and the images she captures with her camera. She lives on the Shropshire / Welsh border, an area rich with a diversity of scenery. "I am not primarily a photographer but my photographs are invaluable to me as a record of composition, colour and detail, supported by my sketches", remarks Alison.
"Photography has to be my starting point because I explore my subject matter directly on to my fabric, drawing and painting with threads.I use a very old basic Bernina sewing machine to 'draw' with, the machine simply makes the stitches while I manoeuvre the silk painted background under the needle."

Linda Jones originally trained, sixteen years ago, at the Metropolitan University, London, specialising in enamelling. Seven years ago she began teaching wire jewellery, setting up her own local creative wire workshops. The success of these workshops has led to the establishment of ‘Wire Wonders’, an active group of wire jewellery enthusiasts, who sell and exhibit in south east Kent. As a teacher of wire jewellery, she is totally self-taught. Linda is the author of five best-selling books on Wire Bead Jewellery in addition to her project on film.

Jill Kennedy has over 25 years experience as a textile artist. She is the author of five silk and fabric painting books and has also produced Kits for beginners in Silk Painting and Batik. Jill has written many articles for Art and Craft journals and runs workshops, day courses and an online course.

Jill's career as an artist began in batik, and she migrated towards silk painting as an area specialization after moving from the UK to the European mainland with her family. Jill has a BFA in Fine Arts from the University of Chicago, and loves 1980's music including the supergroup, "Supertramp".
