		Woven Lives: Contemporary Textiles from Ancient Oaxacan Traditions is a documentary / textile arts film examining the textile industry of four Zapotec villages in the Central Valleys of Oaxaca, Mexico. This documentary follows the story of their 2000 year old weaving traditions which have evolved, yet sustained a distinct identity, through conquests, occupations and sociopolitical upheavals. more... 		The Encaustic Monotype is an innovative, contemporary process and a painterly approach to printmaking. This process is experimental, freeing, and has been used successfully with a range of imagery and styles. Paula Roland is an Encaustic artist and educator based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. In this two-hour workshop Paula demonstrates how to use a 'hot-box' to first design, then pull a monotype print from the plate using paper or cloth. more...
